WHAT IS ROSS EDUCATION/ HEALTH TRAINING CENTER DOING ABOUT CORONAVIRUS/COVID-19?

Our executive team is closely monitoring new information as it becomes available from our peer institutions and government or state agencies, and remain in close touch with our own staff throughout each of our campuses.

As we are closely aligned with the healthcare industry, our teams understand the importance of - and have always been dedicated to- continually sanitizing our campuses and offices. Campus leaders and instructors will continue to provide education on proper hand washing procedures, covering coughs/sneezes, etc.

We have short and long-term contingency plans which allow us to be responsive to emerging issues, if needed.

We will continue to provide updates via email and classroom announcements as new information becomes available.

Unless otherwise specified, all Health Training classroom locations and the Braintree Administrative office remain open and services will continue to be provided.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I HAVE SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19?

1. Stay home to avoid potentially spreading the illness to others.
2. Call your healthcare provider if you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing.
3. Be sure to tell the person you speak to if you have had contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, or if you live in or have recently traveled to an area with ongoing spread.
4. If necessary, your healthcare provider will work with your public health department and the Center for Disease Control to determine if you need to be tested for COVID-19.

WHAT STEPS I CAN TAKE TO HELP PREVENT CONTRACTING THE VIRUS?

1. Wash your hands often with soap & water (for 20 seconds) or use alcohol-based sanitizer when you are unable to wash.
2. Avoid close contact with those who are already sick.
3. Avoid physical contact (i.e., shake hands, fist-bump, etc.) with anyone, healthy or ill.
4. DO NOT TOUCH your face, nose, mouth and do not rub your eyes.
5. Cover your mouth by coughing or sneezing into your elbow or into tissues - discard tissues after use.
6. Limit or eliminate non-essential travel to anywhere in the US or world.
7. Limit or eliminate large group gatherings of 250+ and if possible, practice social-distancing while outside of Ross.
