HTC Admissions Requirements
- All candidates must provide proof of having attained a High School diploma or GED.
- All candidates must be able to speak, understand, and read English.
- All prospective students are also required to provide documentation of health pre-requisites (listed below).
- For all programs that provide externships, the applicant will be required to complete a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) consent form in order to determine externship placement qualification.
- Candidates must provide a valid photo ID (license, passport, etc) that will be copied and included in the student’s file.
- All prospective students are required to interview with a representative from Admissions prior to admittance to HTC. Courses previously completed at other institutions will not count as credit toward your HTC Program Certificates.
- Prior to admittance to HTC, all prospective students are required to complete an interview with an Admissions staff. Hours completed at other institutions generally do not transfer as credit into the HTC certificate programs.
How does the application and enrollment process work?
To apply for admission, applicants should contact an Admissions Representative at 1-781-348-1808 to schedule an appointment for a personal interview and to tour the campus location. During the entrance interview, prospective students will discuss the training programs and the funding options with an Admissions Representative and complete an application form.
Payment options are discussed in detail with the prospective student. Candidates that are members of One Stop Career Centers may qualify for assistance provided through the Workforce Investment Act (WIA), Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA), the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA), National Emergency Grants (NEG) and similar programs.
Once the payment plan has been determined, the Admissions Representative will complete the enrollment process and review the Enrollment Agreement with the prospective candidate to help ensure that all sections are thoroughly understood. The candidate will then sign and initial these documents indicating acknowledgment of the terms of enrollment. The enrollment agreement is then reviewed and signed by the school director and the fully executed contract is emailed to the student.
Will my classes transfer to another school?
We do not imply, promise, or guarantee transferability of credit to any other institution.
Are there additional requirements for enrollment?
The following physical qualifications must be met:
- Physical exam documenting good health and no transmittable diseases performed within last 12 months;
- Negative test results of TST (PPD) TB test within last 12 months. If tested positive, you must have had a chest x-ray within last 12 months and must be updated for Externship placement;
- A blood test with Hepatitis B immunity or are fully protected with 3 shots;
- Proof of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccinations or titer for each;
- History of Varicella (chicken pox) by a physician or positive Varicella titer or a history of two Varicella vaccine doses;
- Proof of Tetanus/Diphtheria vaccination within the last ten years.
- After the first class, HTC is not responsible if medical tests do not meet medically accepted standards.
